What Up???? Scenes from this past week.

Thanks to The Morley's we had fun on July 4th. It was great to be with Melinda, Krysin and Cindy my girl cousins...we spent many a summer swimming at Grandmas....GREAT MEMORIES!!!

My dudes at Dudes Food Truck in Bountiful. Jordan had the boys while Laurie was at girls camp. so I treated them to dinner jumbo corn dogs, fires, and turtle eggs (fried Oreo's) Captain A loved it! I told him we were going to go get corn dogs and he walked right up and began ordering food. 'Dude' just laughed at him and them said "I bet he is a red personality?" We all chimed in "yes he is," which made 'Dude' laugh... 'Dude" came out and talked to us about all kinds of things and wanted Jord and Nels to come to a competitive eating contest he wants to sponsor this month. CA chimed in about eating lots so I  think he bonused us on the fries because CA is so awesome, and funny.

It's new double kettle popper time in Kaysville. We did the inaugural run on Wednesday July 9. Definitely a big learning curve to it, but we will figure it all out.

Call Family Fun

Since I am sitting around not doing much I have been fixing photos, sorting things etc... and came across some wonderful photos from last month that I wanted to share.....

Some of my favorite people! They are awesome and I love spending time with them.
The Show and food was fine, but the company was exceptional.

Little CK- Superman - he is so lovable!

There is a sweet story that goes with the next three pics...
Gary and I took the boys out to the Salt Lake temple for their aunt Kim's wedding. Captain Awesome- RyGuy, was so excited to go to the Temple. When we arrived he was practically running to get there and then was so disappointed that he couldn't go inside the temple. He was so angry and very vocal about not getting to go inside the temple. We kept telling him that it was something he had to wait to do, but he would have none of it. He made the wedding photos a painful time with his bad attitude.
We had a lady stop and tell us to record him and his wants and re-play it to him as a teenager.... anyway I told him that he was going to have to wait to go inside just like he was going to have to wait to go on a mission ( which is something he understands). I then asked him if he would like to touch the temple and he got excited. I love how you can feel his excitement and reverence for the temple. Someday he will get to go inside and I know that we will see that same wonderful expression on his face when that happens.

Elder Call and his Plattsburgh/Pottsdam Peeps..... These are the missionaries up in the ice and snow on the Canadian boarder.....I love the sisters snow boots in this picture.

Floor

The Floor is being done right now and looks like new!  I am so excited about it. I thought the floor would look fine but not perfectly new again.   Things are moving along.

No Kitchen....

Current Kitchen--- The new electrical is in place, all dry wall repairs have been made and now we are waiting for the floor re-finishers. (Unfortunately i couldn't get the family room painters in prior to the floor...oh well they assure me that they will take extra care).
Our biggest challenge with all of this is the eating situation....We are eating like a bunch of college students. If Gary, Megan and Nelson were home consistently I might try to make it a better situation with the food, but since they aren't the microwave and non cooked food will have to do....who says you can't eat cold cereal 3 times a day.....

I am getting excited...especially after we had the designer and the construction boss over reminding them of what was negotiable and what was not.....

The Kitchen Remodel Has Begun

There is no turning back the old kitchen is being removed as I write.....
All things good and bad are stored in Hayden's room...no need for a storage unit/pod just send a kid on a mission.
And it wasn't only the kitchen stuff that needed to be stored  the family room had to be hauled out as well.
I can't wait!

I wish I knew how I was going to re furnish and arraign the Family Room
Upper cabinets removed
Samples of what is going in.

Bonus! Downstairs family room is usable and nice.
(We needed a place to be during all of this)
