Snap Out of It!!!

I have been in a funk for sometime now and so to help me get out of it I thought back to when I was not feeling so meh.
One of the things I discovered  was that when I am not so funky I was a better blogger.....
I guess that means I am committing to blog more. I apparently do better when I let the junk out of my brain through my finger tips.
I also haven't been walking outside regularly, so this morning I got out and walked to clear my mind. It was a beautiful morning. I came in feeling energized and ready to go forward.

I also do better when I have projects so I will get a few projects going as well. With the holiday season upon us I guess they won't be too difficult to find.
A project that keeps crossing my mind has to do with Pie ....I think it is some kind of cookbook/remembrance book about favorite family pie recipes and of course the Pie Party.
I have begun taking notes about Pies, stories and ideas so if anyone has suggestions or entries that  I should consider please send them my way.

Bummer Summer

My bummer Summer is finally coming to an end....nothing could salvage it. I don't know what it was but it wasn't memorable and had few highlights.
Summer is supposed to be the best, one big party, etc...but it all fell flat. I don't know if it was because we took our family vacation in May or that we have been so busy with church things or even if it was the weather, but what ever it was it wasn't fun.
Just like the summer holiday thing I am going to have to change and plan better so as not to do a repeat of my bummer summer.
---------------------------------
First, last week of public school down....Hayden is loving it. I keep reminding him to be involved and keep tight with the friends. Football has been good....that is the second game of the season was good. We won Mountain View 23 to 14. (We lost the first, or should I say most of the team forgot to show up for the first game against Lone Peak). Hayden played a great game for both games. He is on the O line, which means no glory or stats, but he plays his position well. He opens up the lanes and blocks  so that things can progress.  I hope that the team improves as much as they did between the first two games. If they continue this progression there should be no stopping them.
-------------------------------------------
Weather is lovely, but it is making me feel like a slacker. I have to get out and weed, etc.... On Saturday we did several "Honey Do" projects. I am glad we got them done, Gary probably  not so much. I also have two big paint projects set up to do this week. I hope my endurance is a big as my ideas.

"Venezuelan Sea" name of the paint going down.

Stuff

I am behind this week due to the face thing...which by the way has improved significantly.

So here is the Weigh In....I am going down very, very slowly...these last 40 lbs. might be the death of me. I now need toning more than ever. My skin is flabby and muscles seem very week.....where is the magic skin my boys talked about as little boys? We kicked it up a bit at the gym this week and decided that besides walking we would do a more intense gym work out as well...intense for me is most likely a normal persons beginning workout.....hey, I am trying.
I still need to eat better and get more water into me every day.
The problems with eating better is that nothing sounds appealing to me...so you are thinking then the weight should be falling off, not. Just because it isn't what I would choose to eat doesn't mean I won't eat something, anything to find that perfect food to fill the void. Also coming up with what to eat and then having to make it and clean up after myself is just not fun to think about. I made up my mind today that I was going to make the weekly menu and follow through. i am going to make what is on the plan even if I don't want to and it doesn't sound appealing....I know pretty grown up of me. I hope this new resolve works out.

As for the painting project...it too is coming along very, very slowly....I have about half of it done if I stop and don't do any decorative painting...which is something, the decorative painting, I really would like to do IF I can do it perfectly...so in other words it probably won't happen and I can officially say I am half way done with the painting....now what to do with all the stuff /furniture/junk/etc....that is sitting in the center of the room. I have other stuff I want to load the room up with.....maybe a garage sale?

The rest: The garden is looking good, the rest of the yard is not....too much rain and cold to work out side. The other projects are just someday projects for the moment.....making a ton to do this summer. At least I have projects/work to look forward to on top of the rest of my daily jobs...oh well as they say no rest for the ...wicked or weary.

Spring Projects....

So I have selected a few projects that I would like to have done by the end of May....Paint the loft...yes, it needs it. I thought I could get by with it the way it was, but it is bugging me. After I paint I can rearrange the layout. We have been living with my arraignment idea for almost a year and now I know what I really want....and I need to include a play space for the grand kids.
The Basement family room ....Paint, re purpose and decorate. I have decided that this would make a great home theatre space......Yes I am being real. After seeing Laurie's mom and dad's home theatre I know that my space would make a great one....I have even found a few items to hang on the walls already....now for the paint, curtains, seating and oh ya, a screen and projector.....This project will take longer than May but hay, I can being and paint.
I guess I am glad that I got so much done last week, now I can really move forward.
